0009 Port Operatives

Hutchison Ports (UK) - Port of Felixstowe is the largest deep-water Port in the UK and to support our continued growth and development.  We are recruiting Port Operatives to join us in this integral role to support business operations from the ground level, moving containers across all areas of the Port.

Experience is not required as full training is provided, but a positive work ethic is essential alongside a can-do attitude, reliability, flexibility and the ability to learn and develop new skills. The successful applicants would receive a basic salary of £31,253 per annum (plus up to £3,787 per year in shift pay and a bonus, subject to scheme rules).  

Working hours are based on 50% fixed shifts (4 on 4 off i.e., 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 off) and 50% flexible shifts. Please view attachments for further details. 

Essential requirements

• Must hold a full DVLA licence (manual) for a minimum of one year
• Aged 19 or over
• Willing to be trained for internal tractor / tug driving

• Flexible approach to working patterns. (days/nights/weekends/bank holidays).

• You must weigh less than 140 kg
