9781 - Clerical Officer (All Duties) – Harwich

The Role

A exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team at Harwich International Port as a Clerical Officer within the Operations Department. The position is responsible for completing all of the functions required in the day-to-day running of the Operations Centre.

In this role you will be a key part of the overall Operations team with a strong attention to detail, clear communication and focus on working efficiently and proactively.

Key Requirements

• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and standard operating practices.
• Checking-in and issuing gate passes for all unaccompanied freight traffic.
• Create, prepare and issue all relevant documentation to operational staff for vessel working.
• First point of contact for Stena Line. Freight customers outside of normal working hours of Stena Line BV, this includes freight bookings, rate enquiries and hazardous goods enquiries. 

Who are we looking for?

Suitable applicants will have:

• Ability to oversee the business & office administration
• Ideally have at least 1 years’ experience in a similar role
• A strong attention to detail and be able to work efficiently and proactively with minimal supervision
• Ability to multitask and prioritise workflows effectively
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work irregular and unsociable hours including nights and weekends
• Hold a full driving licence, valid in the UK
